Chakra energy enters our bodies on many levels and in many ways. Along the centre of our bodies are the 7 main ones. When all of these 7 Chakras are flowing to their best ability, your energy shifts. Each of these Chakra areas is important as each one performs a certain energetic task in our lives.
To stay in balance, or to become balanced in all areas, there are certain things we can do, actions we can take and thoughts we can think, to shift energy and change our perception, thereby our reality.
Today we will explore the 5nd Chakra: The Throat Chakra
7 Ways to boost, balance and activate the Throat Chakra
The Throat Chakra is located in the neck area. This Chakra is about expression, truth, communication and being heard.
Here are 7 ways to feel more secure within yourself about your expression, feel more authentic everyday by BEing your truth and to better communicate to yourself and others.
1. Express yourself creatively
There are many ways in which we can express ourselves. Speaking/talking is one way but if you have challenges in this area, then here are some suggestions:
- Colouring in (Adult colouring in books are available now online and off!)
2. Speak up
Today, find that person you have been avoiding for too long now and speak up. Tell them what you have been wanting them to know for a while now. Break the silence. Be honest, compassionate, good intentioned and courageous.
Here is a great song by John Mayer, called ‘Say’ that you might enjoy. It has a powerful message about expressing yourself.
‘…..Even if your hands are shaking
And your faith is broken
Even as the eyes are closing
Do it with a heart wide open
Say what you need to say, say what you need to say…’
Whenever I need more courage in speaking or communication I find that wearing blue really helps. Just a blue scarf around your neck and Throat Chakra area or a blue top or go the whole way and have everything blue! Its vibrant, beautiful and no matter what your colouring there is a shade that will be fabulous on you. So why not look great while opening up to your communication!
Singing is great for the soul, and the throat. Sing loud. Sing like you mean it! In public or privately while you are alone driving or working. Either way, it will release tension in your throat area and feel very fun.
5. Create your own inspirational quote
I found that when I first had the courage to not only write a quote, place it on an image but then publish it, it was one of the most freeing and empowering thing I had ever done! Is it something you have thought of doing? Not many people go the whole way and publish to social media etc and if you are not in that space yet, thats ok. Simply create your inspirational quote and image and print it. Place it then where you can see it. It will inspire you to speak your truth.
6. Burn the Communication candle
By burning and looking at the Communication candle, and through listening to the accompanying guided meditation from the Throat Chakra candle from the I, Manifest: Chakra Candle range, you will embrace the energy of this chakra centre through not only the vibrant colour of the blue, but through the Essential Oils that are especially for increasing expression and openness here in this area.
7. Say NO
Saying no is a challenge for many of us. The ultimate people pleasers. But saying no is saying YES to ourselves. Empowerment and truth is expressed here when we can truly agree to, or say no to, the many requests we receive daily.
If this is still a challenge for you, here is a suggestion. This week, make it a goal to say no to something at least once. It may be a new request OR it may be something you have been saying yes to for a while and have truly been wanting to say no. Be empowered in this area this week. Take back your freedom.
Give these 7 tips a try this week and feel empowered, in your truth and freely communicating to yourself and those around you.
