Chakra energy portals run along the centre of our bodies and we all have 7 main ones. Having all 7 Chakras working effectively and flowing to their best ability, will change the way your energy feels, what your reality looks like and how you feel in every moment. Each of these Chakra areas is important as each one performs a certain energetic task in our lives.
To stay in balance, or to become balanced in all areas, there are certain things we can do, actions we can take and thoughts we can think, to shift energy and change our perception, thereby our reality.
Today we will explore the 2nd Chakra: The Sacral Chakra
7 Ways to boost, balance and activate the Sacral Chakra
The Sacral Chakra is located below the naval. This Chakra is about emotions, feelings, sexuality, creativity and relationship (with self and others).
Here are 7 ways to feel more secure within yourself, have more empowerment when making decisions and have better, more authentic relationships with others (and yourself).
1. Affirmations of self love.
I have found this to be one of the most powerful ways to increase the relationship I have with myself, which then in turn improves the relationship with others.
The key is though- you must believe what you are affirming. If you have an affirmation that you dont believe (just yet) then it will be in a sub conscious battle with the truth you currently hold. You must find words that are believable to you, right now.
For example, if one of your affirmations is ‘I love and accept myself’ but you dont feel you really do, just yet, find something about yourself that you DO love and accept, right now. This will change your energy about yourself.
2. Eat Orange food.
Food plays a big part in our lives here as a human, and not just for nutrition and to keep the body working brilliantly for us. Food carries energy, within and also through colour, to increase the Chakra energies. Just like we often will use colour in the way we dress, or decorate our homes, or use colour in the crystals or ornaments around us during the day, food, and its colour, can increase energy to the Chakra areas.
Vibrant foods such as Oranges and Mandarins are great!
3. Get your creative side working.
We all have a creative side to us, whether that is through art, speech, written words or any other ways to express yourself. Take the time to use and grow this expression of yourself. Take up a hobby, start that class you’ve been meaning to take.
Dance! This is creative and will get your energy flowing!
4. Play with kids.
Children are great at knowing their creativity and expression so by playing some games with your children, dancing with them or simply just being a kid with them will empower the Sacral Chakra.
5. Pamper yourself
Enjoy a beautiful long bath, a sensual massage or a healing session where its all about you feeling good.
6. Essential Oils
Alternatively, have oils in a burner or as a roll on for your skin, to enjoy the benefits of Aromatherapy for this Chakra area.

7. Breathe before decisions
Emotions do not mix with good decision making. Before making any decisions, breathe, slow down, even go for a walk or simply just wait 24 hours because this will allow any erratic emotions to settle down so that your decision will be made from the heart and from a more authentic space than an emotional space.
